All of Moxie's service providers are licensed hair stylists who are current in coloring techniques and fashion-forward styles for men, women and children alike, and they each have their own unique menu and handle their own scheduling. The visionary and brand of Moxie, Sarah Jay is the Senior Stylist and a Cutting Specialist, with Sahag training for retexturizing long, heavy hair as well as a unique skill with pixie cuts. For color work, Sarah has a thorough mastery of dimensional blending, vivid trends and corrective work. She also does special event styling, both in the salon and onsite. Sarah uses the Pravana lines of natural and vivid colors and contracts with DevaCurl, Paul Mitchell Awapuhi Wild Ginger, Tigi Bedhead, Moroccan Oil, Redken and Monat to offer clients the most luxurious and affordable hair experience.
Anna is a Master Stylist specializing in french cutting, straight razor cuts, curly hair, custom color, balayage, and onsite bridal hair. Anna uses Schwarzkopf and Pravana color lines.
Bray has extensively trained in the Jacques Dessange method of french hair cutting, and she uses Olligo, Agora and Schwartzkopf color lines.
Jessica has a vibrant energy for everything she does and excels at custom color work with tailored scissor cuts. She primarily uses the Matrix and Biolage lines.
Emma is our newest Junior Stylist, freshly graduated and licensed out of Paul Mitchell education systems in St. Louis. She is continuing her training under Senior Stylist Sarah Jay as well as taking new clients to expand her knowledge and experience. If you want the expertise and oversight of the masters at the price of the apprentice, then Emma is your girl!
A hair stylist and soon-to-be-licensed esthetician, Samantha specializes in long hair, men's cuts, grey reduction, makeup applications, and eyelash & brow tinting. Samantha uses the Kevin Murphy color line and offers Kevin Murphy products for sale to Moxie clients.
Please notify your service provider at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to make your appointment so that he/she can give your slot to someone who is waiting to get in (and, of course, continue to feed their family). Repeat late cancellations and/or no-shows will make a client ineligible for promotional discounts and priority appointments in the future, and the client may be required to put down a deposit to secure their next appointment.
Because we are committed to giving our clients a relaxing, peaceful experience away from the busyness of everyday life, we ask you to make arrangements for childcare outside the salon before arriving for your appointment. We do not have the space or accommodations to keep children occupied during your appointment, so please do not bring children unless they have an appointment to get their hair cut. Thank you!
Some of our clients have been asking what the appropriate amount is to tip your service provider. In the salon industry, the custom is to tip between 15%-25% on the total value of the services you received (but not retail products). We accept all payment types for tips, and if you have Moxie gift certificates, you may use them toward your tip as well. Thank you!
